CYW joined the forum to better understand the trend of the carbon policies that is now changing in Taiwan
The ministry of Environment has invited the guests and experts from the EU and Japan to have discussed the current policies and regulatory environment to curb the carbon emissions and to encourage the reliance on fossil fuels in hopes of supporting the sustainability. Our firm aims prepares our clients to cope with the potential changes as result of the new policies taking effect in the beginning of 2026. Currently, over two hundrend of domestic coporate entities have been listed that has GHG emission over the threshold set by the Ministry. Those entities would comply with the new regulations by paying a fee, every May of that year, based on the emission record in the previous year.
